About

The McMaster IEEE Student Branch is a student club open to all students on the McMaster University campus. We represent the IEEE, one of the largest international, technical and professional associations.

We also run a number of courses and offer various technical services to students from all faculties and disciplines. We have two soldering stations in our lab, one of which can be used for surface mount components. We also offer PCB milling services and have oscilloscopes and function generators for all your design and testing needs.

For the 2016/2017 year, executive members are as follows:

  • Chair – Yarden Segal – Computer Engineering IV
  • Vice-chair – Michael Dimitrov – Electrical Engineering III
  • Computer Chair – Eric Kamada – Computer Engineering III
  • Treasurer – Thomas Phan – Computer Engineering IV
  • Secretary – Mitchell Ekels – Electrical and Society Engineering IV

Committee Chairs:

  • McMaster Programming Challenge – Justin Facca – Electrical Engineering III

Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in ITB-141. We encourage anyone interested, regardless of discipline, to get involved with the IEEE and come out to the meetings and learn more about our branch!
